Borith Soaps makes beauty bath products using naturally sourced ingredients such as oils, butter, waxes, aloe vera, tallow, honey, salts and sugars, teas and infused herbs. These are blended with essential oils that give the authenticity and softness of a good quality soap bar.

Before the Roman Empire this extraordinary agent ‘Borith’ reference to the Hebrew borith mekabbeshim that means akali of those treading cloth described as which cleanses or makes pure, was already well established in historical records. In ancient times in Israel, it was use for physical hygiene but also use as part of religious ceremonial activities. Although the process itself has a far bigger meaning and understanding to us, it closely symbolized spriritual cleansing and renewal, reflecting the importance of becoming pure from both the outside and inside to have a closer relationship with God the father and His son.
An ordinary bar of soap can wash your hands or body and it can even leave you feeling that it has done its purpose. But after a few washes, some soaps can leave you with a drying effect on your skin. Our approach is to keep the main thing the main thing.
Today I can tell you after many years of soap making, trying new recipes, praying and searching for ways, researching critically evaluated methods, receiving encouraging feedback from friends and applying this to make a better-quality product, we have formulated and refined our soaps and even added a new sustainable zero waste range of products to our collection.
ABOUT US
In 2014 we started by only making Boerseep and only by grace our collection of products has expanded to liquid soaps and shampoos. In 2022 we joined Marta at Bottega Zero Waste for a workshop on shampoo bars, and learned from Rain soap books, and from Tellevo, new ways of using natural and botanical ingredients to formulate recipe to make an environmentally friendly Rice liquid shampoo. Ever so thankful for the people and friends that encouraged us from the beginning, through your lives and continual encouragement through Jesus Christ, we have a wonderful collection that can be shared with people all over the world. In 2023 we changed our name from The Soap Story Authentic Handmade Soap to Borith Soaps. To all the people who know as by our previous name, we will continue to make natural, high-quality products.

It had a lovely fragrance, and after lathering it in my hands, I applied it to my hair, and started washing. I have grey hair, and a lot of it, and grey hair tends to be a little more dry, and coarse. After washing my hair with this exceptional product, my hair felt light! While we were travelling in the Cape I was badly bitten by bed bugs and I had no other anti-itch cream with me so I decided in desperation to try to use your shampoo bar.
It was the best thing ever. Within minutes of applying it to the bites, they stopped itching and I had at least 12 hours of relief from the itchiness. As soon as I started itching again I applied the shampoo and it stopped immediately. I kept using it for about 5 days until the itching stopped. I had no inflammation from any of the bites and they have nearly disappeared by now. (This happened about 10 days ago.)
So I just wanted to give you that feedback because it might be worth you including that in your advertising or even developing an anti-itch bar! I am not sure which ingredient did the job but it was a lifesaver. I am now testing it on mosquito bites.
